Since moving to Tokyo, Japan, Greg has translated over 100 traditional Japanese songs. He has performed concerts all over Japan and the United States. In addition to his musical career, Greg is a popular Voice Actor in Japan as well as a bi-lingual Master of Ceremonies. He has appeared on the Japanese stage, performing in productions at the prestigious Embujo theatre in Tokyo and at the Misonoza theatre in Nagoya, Japan. He received the first ever Japan Doyo Culture Prize and was a winner of the Taisho Music Doyo Grande Prix, the John Lennon Songwritiing Contest and the FM Yokohama International DJ Contest. He has released CDs and CD Books from Victor Entertainment, Crown Records and the Japan Times. Greg's translations of Japanese traditional songs have been featured in several Japanese textbooks and he occasionally makes speaking engagements at Japanese high schools encouraging young people to take pride in themselves and their culture |
